Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Head of D.N.C., Backs Iran Nuclear Deal

WASHINGTON — Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, announced on Sunday that she will support the nuclear agreement with Iran that has roiled many in her Florida district.

“I’ll be casting my vote to support the deal and if necessary sustain the president’s veto,” she told Jake Tapper on “State of the Union” on CNN. While she called it a “gut wrenching” decision-making process that caused her “angst and pause,” she concluded that the agreement would “put Iran years away from being a threshold state.”

The congresswoman choked up emotionally as she talked about the difficulty of the decision as a “Jewish mother” and the first Jewish Democrat elected to the House from Florida.

“There’s nothing more important to me as a Jew than to ensure that Israel’s existence is there throughout the generations,” she said. She added: “There is no way that we would be able to ensure that better than approving this deal.”

She is biased and her reason for the delay proves it.
The DNC needs new leadership that does not favor a foreign country (Israel) or candidate (Hillary).
