Israel/Palestine

As of today Israel is actively bombing Rafah and has started a ground invasion on Rafah. A million+ refugees very literally have no where else to go as this invasion starts. This will cause NGOs like WCK to pause their operations until it stops.
Hundreds of thousands are likely to die, including the hostages.
I've never understood why people think bombing is helpful to the hostages. The bombs don't just kill Hamas. They don't care who they kill. 38 hostages, once believed to be alive, have now been confirmed dead. Cutting off water and food and electricity and bombing hurts a lot more people than Hamas.

(13,344 posts)I remember an article from several years ago in which Bibi took credit for blowing up the Oslo Accords because he would never allow Palestinians to have a state. He has also said that he owns the US government because both parties will always send money and military aid and he can just ignore any advice or US wishes. Its so sad that so many Israelis support him because he is such a terrible leader.
When the IDF blocks aid from Gaza, do they really think food is taken from starving Palestinian children to give to Israeli hostages? Do they think their bombs hit only Palestinians? Hamas has a purpose in keeping the hostages alive. The IDF doesnt care.
We thought 35,000 deaths were a crisis. With a million plus Palestinians crammed into a small space, that figure could well climb to hundreds of thousands.
