Palestinians Return ‘Lost’ Israeli Soldier To Unit

By Agence France-Presse

An Israeli soldier who became separated from his unit during an operation in a Palestinian West Bank village was safely returned to his fellow troops by local residents, Israeli media said Thursday.

The Israeli army confirmed that the soldier appeared to have gotten lost in the incident, but said they were still investigating how he was able to regain contact with his unit.

“From an initial investigation he was separated from his unit on Wednesday night but the rest of the matter is under investigation,” an army spokesman told AFP.

According to Israeli media reports, the soldier entered the village in a convoy of jeeps, but at some point alighted from his vehicle.

How long before the run over that settlement with tanks?

Remember, the Israelis ran over a American teenage girl with a bulldozer...on purpose (but they thought she was Palestinian.)

depends on who you believe. the ISM, which is a pro-Palestinian group, who said that there was nothing blocking the view of the bulldozer or the Israelis, who said that the driver could not see her due to the large blind spots on the armored bulldozer. Given the picture of the bulldozer (see below) and that it does indeed look like it has multiple blind spots, I lean more towards the Israeli version

Yes, there are bad people in Israel.

No, tarring an entire nation with the same brush is simple bigotry.

as witness the casualty rations between Israelis and Palestinians in any recent conflict.

The only weapon available to the oppressed is nonviolent resistance.
