Pictures like these make you feel like you have been there. It's a shame we only have photography for the past 150 or so years.

(50,254 posts)They really don't relate to the Israel/Palestine situation, since they took place before 1948 and since they don't have anything to do with Zionism or Palestinian nationalism(I hope you're not going to argue that the killing of Jews in Poland-an act committed by European Christians-justifies anything in the present situation, since Palestinians bear no responsibiliy for those horrific acts).
But they are a poignant slice of history.
