I sort of understand how America would be wildly different under a McCain/Palin presidency: the Detroit automakers go bankrupt, the economy is allowed to go deep in depression doo doo, unemployment shoots up to 13-15%, wars would escalate, Social Security gets handed off to Wall Street...
If Obama lost in 2008, who would be the nominee in 2012? Biden? Hillary Clinton? Or someone even FURTHER left because America would have experienced not 8 but rather 12 years of right wing policy?
