I will never give another penny to the Democratic Party. I'm sickened by the fact that what I've already donated will be lining the coffers of a state that just passed gaypartheid.

Not a chance. Every room design, every custom fixture, every security plan is already in the works, let alone thousands of people's individual arrangements. My wife ran a company that did corporate events and the leadtime on <1000 attendee two-day sales seminar in a hotel is longer than this, with nary a hint of Secret Service forward planning needs.

I think the situation in Charlotte could easily get out of hand due to the turn of recent events. The Party can't afford to be in the middle of some big debacle in such an important election year. There will be protests and counter-protests, and I don't see much good coming from any of it.
