4. CNN giving the news and Donna some good coverage.

Even played a clip of 'Love To Love You, Baby' - one which some radio stations refused to play for the 'sexual overtones'.

The piece should be in their cycle.

6. I must have lost 5,000 gallons of sweat

dancing in the clubs to her music.

Then came the year she "got Jesus" and dissed the LGBT community who made her career. Her star was forever tarnished for me after that.

Some time later she came back around and as for me, well, as I've always said: once you love somebody you can't un-love them. You may not care to be around them any more, but you can't un-love them.

Rest sweetly, Miss Summer. The world is a little bit "less" today now that you're gone.

8. Yeah, there was a back 'n forth in her relationship with the community.

Yet, as you say, nothing changes that block of club time dance music, for those of us of a certain age...

I saw her in Chicago @ a benefit for the Harlem Children's Choir, which I thought was sweet.

11. I just traveled across the country

and listened to a CD of her great music, including a long (like 20 minutes) version of MacArthur Park.
It kept me going driving all day long, playing it over and over.
So sad to die so young...
