The LGBT Group has moved into 4th place in total posts of all groups on DU3 with 14k... Now only trailing the Gungeon with 40K (shudders), Religion with 28K, and Environment and Energy with 15k.

Let's try to make it to third! Keep on posting and happy reading everyone! If not we could fall back to sixth pretty quickly with both Sports (13k) and Economy (13999) nipping our heels!



EDIT TO ADD: Just so you know, all of the groups mentioned above have no more than a dozen more subscribers than we do, and most have about a hundred FEWER (including the Gungeon)! So, I know we've got tons of subscribers who never speak up! Feel free to say something even if you never do and just want to say hi!

Speak slooooowly. A few have said this in the past and I couldn't make heads nor tails of their method. I'd really like to know how you arrived at this conclusion.

You go to this page... http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=forums

From there you can see the post count for the forums and see the categories that the groups fall into below that.

Clicking on a category opens a new page that breaks down the category (say "Activism&quot into their individual groups (in this case Activist Headquarters, Economic Activism and Progressive Living, etc.) all with their posting stats.

For instance... Clicking on the first category of groups from the page I linked above (Activism)... You get... http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=forum&id=1007

This page details the post counts of all the groups labeled under the category "Activism". As you can see, none of them are even close to the 14k posts that LGBT has.

Going back to the first link, you can click on each category on the page to see all the other groups and their post counts just the same way!

-OR-

You can just go to each group's SOP page and scroll down to see a fairly updated post count as well as a member count. But that would take much longer!

Anyone who says there's nothing of interest or nothing to read in LGBT either ain't lookin' or ain't postin'.

This group is pretty busy from what I can see, but it would be grand to see a lot more. There's a *lot* of LGBT news, actions, petitions, etc out there we haven't even seen yet. Not everybody lives way out back of beyond like Rob & I do <lol>

I didn't know there was a gun group, or so many groups.

I learned what a group is at the same time.

Since I have always mostly just read rather than post, I guess I never learned most of the details of the system here.

As an ally, I will never truly understand what it's like to be LGBT. In my ignorance, I've said insensitive things in the past. This group is the only place I feel comfortable asking "stupid" questions. There is always someone who is willing to educate me, without any animosity, yet with complete honesty. I feel like this is the most accepting and patient group on DU for allies who sincerely want to learn more about supporting the LGBT community. Thanks for being patient with me.
