4. Marrah, you deserved a reply, and you're getting mine instead of a kind one.

I'm glad that you're proud of your kid. You should know why other DUers arent't piling on. Hell, you should know. You let him go into the military... this messed-up military. You won't get any kudos from anyone on DU.

I've known you for years, and I can only hope you've raised a kid that will do us all proud - won't be implicated in torture or other war crimes. I was there, and I wouldn't have committed genocide because I was ordered to do so. I hope you taught your kid the same., and I think you did. But you let him go into the military. Series? He could have hung out with me doing mostly nothing for the next eight years if I thought I could spare him that.

Because of you, I'm going to ramp up my effort to provide and alternative. I love you, but I hate what you did - what my parents did to me.

In the end, I love you.

He is very intelligent, a socialist like his mom and Ive raised him well (I think)
