It's no wonder the Communist Party tried so hard to
stamp out the influence of the Russian Orthodox Church. I've read in Russian novels about all the ignorance that abounded within that religion and it's apparently no better today. I used to think I would like to visit Russia, but there's no way in hell anyone could get me to visit there now. I think an international boycott of Russia is in order here, at least until they afford some basic human rights to GLBT people.
