From their first Marine Ball together to their White House engagement, The Advocate has happily followed the courtship of U.S. Marine Captain Matthew Phelps and his fiancé Ben Schock.
On Saturday, the couple officially tied the knot in a wedding ceremony full of laughter, tears, and gratitude. Photographer Nate Gowdy has shared a collection of photos from the couple’s momentous day. Images of this kind just wouldn't have existed before the repeal of "don't ask, dont' tell."

The photographer was very skilled, and of course the couple were just beaming all over the place. I esp. liked the silhouette picture.
