An Omaha native will be the first openly transgender bride to appear on “Say Yes to the Dress” tonight.

Precious Davis and her husband-to-be, Myles Brady, will appear on the Atlanta version of the show, designed to help future brides find their wedding dresses.

Davis, 30, graduated from Burke High School and then went to Iowa Western Community College for one year before transferring to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. After she participated in a study-abroad program in London and Paris, she decided that she wanted to live in a more metropolitan area. So she moved to Illinois to finish her degree at Columbia College Chicago.

Now she is a motivational speaker and the assistant director of diversity recruitment initiatives at Columbia. She also does consulting work in diversity and inclusion for corporations and nonprofit organizations.
