Rio staffer proposes to her girlfriend on the rugby field

The manager of Rio's Deodoro Stadium, Marjorie Enya, couldn't have picked a better time to propose. The Australian women's rugby 7s team had just won gold after beating New Zealand on Monday and the mood was high. Perfect time to propose on a pitch.

The 28-year-old was ready. She grabbed a mic and started speaking to her girlfriend of two years, 25-year-old Isabella Cerullo, a Brazilian rugby player.
Referring to Cerullo's squad only qualifying as hosts at Rio, Enya said, "The Olympic Games can look like closure but for me it's starting a new life with someone.

"I wanted to show people that love wins," she said.
In front of coworkers and fellow rugby teammates, Enya put a ring on it, and the crowd went wild.
"She is the love of my life," she said.

If we could bottle the pure love and joy captured in these photos, we're pretty sure we could achieve world peace.
