MOORESVILLE, N.C. (AP) -- North Carolina church leaders have told a Boy Scout troop and Cub Scout pack they're no longer welcome to use their facilities as a home base after the Boy Scouts of America decided in January to allow transgender boys.

The Charlotte Observer reports (http://bit.ly/2oK3fx3) Coddle Creek Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church in Mooresville booted both Troop 169 and Pack 169. Mooresville is about 25 miles (40 kilometers) north of Charlotte.

Pastor Andrew Shoger issued a statement saying that after 10 years, the church decided it "cannot partner with an organization that embraces what God's Word clearly labels as sin."

Shoger said the church would let the troops stay until they could find a new home.

The North Carolina Values Coalition has lobbied churches to abandon their Boy Scout troops for "faith friendly alternatives."

As we forgive those that trespass against us.

Do they just say the Lords Prayer without thinking about what it says?

The mainline Presbyterian Church is usually not like this at all. The Church I go to welcomes everyone. This has to be one of the breakaway churches who left and joined the evangelicals. This is heartbreaking.

... is indeed a "spin-off", describing its theology as "Evangelical Calvinist", and is very conservative compared to what we think of with the Presbyterian Church.

This is a piss-poor way for so-called Christians to act.

When they're not welcome in His house?

Of course, doesn't matter to me. I'm atheist. Keep pissing people off! You're hurting yourselves more in the long run.
