(10,237 posts)In my 20s, Debbie Harry was one of my serious turn ons.
I always liked "Heart of Glass" the most.
Two other groups that I liked from the same era were Scandal and the Motels.
PEACE!

(59,147 posts)Or do they have sentimental value.
I still have my Bay City Rollers albums with covers and will never get rid of them.

(1,375 posts)But, they do have sentimental value. I love the song in the video that you posted. It's one of my favorites.

(12,336 posts)Aaaarrrggghhhh! Ok ok, I liked their song on the radio, "Another Saturday Night" or whatever it was called. But no LPs of theirs. But truth be told, I still have am album by...Paul Revere and the Raiders.
Why? I dunno. I was a kid so what did I know?

(59,147 posts)I bet you have plenty of wisdom.
On the other hand I knew several that would argue about my wisdom.

(38,206 posts)I can't believe LPs aren't still popular. Nothing beats them for that "presence" they seem to have. It's almost like FM radio in Stereo. There is another frequency they produce that you cannot get from CDs or DVDs or MP3s or any of the other newer technology. I still have a working turntable. I don't even know if Radio Shack still sells the needle for it. So, I keep it taped if I move the turntable, just in case, so it won't break. I still have some anti-static liquid too, for worn out records. I still have my Blondie LPs and my Joan Jett LPs and many many 45s as well.

(1,085 posts)I am also not a member of the LBGT community (although I strongly support them!) but am a huge fan of Blondie. In fact, my roommate wanted me to point out that I drive her nuts sometimes playing my Blondie.
I remember when I was a kid back in the late 70s/early 80s and I had a huge crush on Debbie Harry and The Tide is High was my favorite song in the world.
Great memories from a great group!

(1,085 posts)Thank you so much for your kind reply and welcoming me to the group!
I have tried, through reading, to keep up with the group and with what's going on.
