Gay man beaten with bike chain - The attacker has not been arrested

A gay man was eating pizza with his sister. Then someone beat him with a bike chain.

Bradley Skinner was at a Domino’s in a small town in Queensland, Australia.
“This guy walked past, and we were all laughing and having a good time about to go home,” Bradley, 25, said.
Then a stranger walking by called him a “faggot.”
Bradley ignored the comment, telling the Daily Mercury that he’s “used to” being called slurs, but his sister Amanda stood up for him.

“He ended up hitting her in the face,” Bradley said, “and it all went on from there and he got out this chain and started whacking me with it.”
“He started pelting me with it over and over again. He hit me from my upper legs up to my head. I kept trying to grab it and cover my face while he was swinging it at me.”
“When he hit me on the head, that’s when I blacked out,” Bradley said.

Bradley was taken to the hospital with a laceration on his head and bruises on his body. He was released the next day, but went back to the hospital when he couldn’t keep his balance and had trouble speaking due to possible brain damage.
He has to take at least three weeks off of work.

Queensland Police confirmed that the incident occurred and statements were taken from both Bradley and the attacker.
The attacker has not been arrested.

PTSD trigger for me, reading this. I'll be having to deal with this today, or tonight. Spooky similarities to my long term troubles from my bully attack.
I've so had it with fux who want to bring back good old fashioned bullying and hatemongering. I'm living close to some in a relatively rural area I must watch my back, recently had a TRUMP sticker monster truck chase me in my economy car all the way home shouting homophobic epithets, undoubtedly in response to my HRC "love conquers hate" sticker. Followed me inches from my back bumper for over 2 miles.
I haven't seen this level of hateful attacks on just anyone, freaking anyone "different" somehow, by these white supremacist dipshits since the 1970's when I survived brutal, if not nearly as physically injurious, daily doses of bullying.
Sometimes I seriously consider job options nearer to the bay area. But I've encountered dipshits just as often there, must realize it's universal, one can encounter some stupid TRUMPER anywhere, even in relatively progressive areas. It always seems trading one set of problems for another, trying to run away from it. Just as Muslims take shelter in relatively safe areas. Just as... you know, just fill in the blank ahead:

This is not normal. I'm going to shout it. This is NOT NORMAL. And reminds me of the old adage:
First, they came for the blacks, and I said nothing because it didn't effect me. Then they came for the Jews, and I said nothing because it scared but didn't effect me. Then they came for me. Just about any of these idiots falling for revisionist history whitewashing slavery, detention, segregation, discrimination and bullying as "OKAY".... I just want to shake them and ask them, just what trait about you will the haters attack next?
