(13,360 posts)It surprises me how many of us who may not even think they have issues may hold some attitudes that are really not cool. Having a lesbian teen with many bi, gay, and trans friends, I have had to reteach myself how to say or approach certain topics...and I'm pretty chill
I am shocked by the vitriol even displayed by these kids' own families: deadnaming them to their face, forcing them to be "normal" to other family members and friends, refusing therapy or even talking about transitioning...so much more, it's sad.
