...Then, two days ago, Brink got a call from his son's defense attorneys, telling him Aldrich was involved in a shooting at an LGBTQ nightclub in Colorado Springs.

Brink said he's a Mormon and his first reaction was to question why his son was at a gay bar.

Had friend in my early twenties that had a father that kicked him out of his house because he was gay. My boyfriends mother, at that time, let him live with them for a while. I am sure his conservative father would have preferred that. I lost track of him when he moved to FL. This was back in the late seventies. I always thought of him as a gentle soul. Must have gotten it from his mother. I haven’t thought of that in a very long time.

This family seems inclined to jump from poor life choice to poor life choice as they journey through life. Toxic masculinity seems to be pervasive with the males.

The Aldrich grandfather in California appears to also be heavily inclined to extreme conservatism and toxic masculinity is also a badge of honor and pride there with him too.
