Sine Die day and Texas SB 1029 (adult trans care ban) did not pass

That said it could still be brought up in special session

I am hoping it gets forgotten in all the other shit they’ve done to us and we have two years to prepare to move…but I have no idea how much of a priority it is to them.

1. I hope so, too.

It's truly terrifying. Come to Colorado.

3. We have our problems, of course *cough Boebert*, but she's going to lose next year.

Gov. Polis is doing a good job. I live in Boulder County, by far the bluest area in the state, although sadly, the property values are out-of-sight right now.

4. The first special session is for property tax reform and border security

Greg will probably call another special session in the fall for school vouchers. Greg will not hold a special secession on school vouchers in the summer when teachers will swarm the Capitol

5. I hope that stays the case

I cannot leave Texas right now and losing my care would push me back to suicide tendencies.

6. I can't leave right now either

I was/am planning to start HRT his month.

My hope is that they passed enough stuff that they are satisfied enough to let us live till the next session setting their sights on other targets.

7. Gov. Greg Abbott calls immediate special session for property tax reform, border security

https://www.houstonchronicle.com/politics/texas/article/abbott-calls-texas-lawmakers-back-special-session-18124917.php?utm_campaign=sftwitter&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_medium=referral

Gov. Greg Abbott is ordering the Texas Legislature back into a special session starting immediately after the House and Senate failed to pass any meaningful property tax reform on the final day of the regular session.

Abbott said the special session, which started at 9 p.m. on Monday, will only focus on property tax cuts and border security but promised more special sessions later this year to address a host of other priorities the Legislature failed to deliver on.

“Several special sessions will be required,” he said. “To ensure that each priority receives the time and attention it deserves to pass into law, only a few will be added each session.”......

Special sessions can last a maximum of 30 days, though lawmakers aren't required to meet for that long. Some special sessions in Texas history have lasted only 1 day with the Legislature refusing to pass a governor's priorities. The Texas Constitution only allows lawmakers to take up what Abbott puts on the agenda
