A question

I was at a debate tonight about issue one, which is the NC marriage amendment, on the ballot May 8th. One of the proponents, a guy from the Federalist Society, kept talking about queer legal theory. I have to admit I found it offensive, but apparently the people on the panel didn't. So my question, is queer legal theory offensive as a term or not?

No idea what that means. Did anyone ask him what a "queer legal theory" was? pinto Mar 2012 #3
He related it to feminist legal theory and the change of marriage dsc Mar 2012 #4

of Queer Theory. It's just a academic descriptor, like Queer Studies. That's my take on it, anyway.
