U.S. women are largely dissatisfied with how they're treated. Most men don't see a problem.

I will cross post in GD.

Women’s satisfaction with the treatment of their gender in the United States is at a record low, according to a Gallup poll. A majority of men, however, don’t see a problem.

The study, released last week, found that 53 percent of Americans are very or somewhat satisfied with the treatment of women in society — tying a record low that first hit when the #MeToo movement gained national attention in 2017. Since 2016, women’s satisfaction has dropped 17 points to 44 percent, while men’s fell by five points to 61 percent, according to Gallup’s findings.
The poll also found that 61 percent of men think men and women have equal job opportunities, while 33 percent of women agree. However, majorities of both genders, 72 percent of women and 61 percent of men — favored affirmative action programs for women.

Tinu Abayomi-Paul, a writer and virtual speaker based in Arlington, Tex., wasn’t surprised by the study’s findings. “It’s not only that women aren’t treated well. Sometimes we’re invisible,” she said.

Also males have been more dismissive.

I guess Trump set the example.

I would think twice before antagonizing one.

I had a guy follow me out to my car from the grocery store once trying to engage me in some pro Trump bullshit

Younger men seem more polite to older women than the older males.

What about other women, those who are more then willing to betray their own gender to get table scraps from men like Trump...like Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, Marsh Blackburn, Susan Collins...most are Republicans!

These polls and stories are needed, but they're one sided and always pit women against men...and never seem to touch on the part that conservative minded women play...especially when they're active participants and give those men a shield!!!

Of course no amount of yelling or shaking will get them off their position. Some people, stubbornness is the only strong thing in their character

As the article mentioned, many women with children were forced to leave the work force, and female participation in the workforce is on par with the 1980s now

Working families just are not supported by government policy.
