So far we have Niyad, Obamanaut2012, Gormy Cuss and me who have volunteered or been suggested to co-host this forum. Does anyone else want to co-host.

Niyad mentioned it wasn't the best time for her, but she can certainly co-host with a bunch of us so the responsibility on any one person is not monumental.

Update: as it now stands GormyCuss will be the Main host and the rest of us will co-host.

As to the group's purpose and to the extent to which it is a protected group at D.U. This would stop folks who wish to defend mysoginistic statements by public figures less than welcome.

2. This isn't a protected group but I agree that we should discuss whether the SoP needs clarification.

I'm for keeping the SoP as simple as possible and dealing with disruptive posters directly.

I'm not against the idea, but even without protected status hosts can block posters who disrupt and lock OT threads, right?

18. I support you as lead host and agree that we can keep SoP as simple as possible.

I don't think it is necessary to have "protected status" or anything like that. I'm interested in participating in a forum where anybody is welcome as long as they are respectful of one another. I'm happy to read different points of view as long as they are expressed sincerely. I think that the hosts can take care of any problems.
