Kansas' religious Republicans are so intent on proving they will go to any length to protect a fetus that they passed legislation for the National Right To Life movement outlawing a medical procedure to ban abortions at 14 weeks after fertilization.

Their egos are bruised if women make more money than they do, if women are promoted more than they are, if women make the major decisions for families. They fear women having equal - or better - numbers in politics.


They know they've kept women in a second rate status and they are in deathly fear they'll be relegated to the same should women have full equality. What they don't realize that it isn't women's nature to enact severe payback should we gain equality - the rising tide will float all boats. But they don't believe that.
