I am a music junkie, and until 2 weeks ago I had never heard of her. Then someone on another message board mentioned her as a great bass player, and I looked her up and saw how many AMAZING songs she played on. Not just amazing songs where she was but one component, a lot of songs where the bass line itself is such a major component of the song.

Great stuff.

My wife is friends with her on Facebook.
She seems a little loopy these days, but she's earned it.
Her Fender Bass playing on Pet Sounds is some of the best ever recorded.

She is one of those talents that are amazingly skilled at what they do.

If she had half the talent that she has ... she would still get tons of work because of "the skill"

She is a cute small little woman and she advised my friend Liza Carbe not to play a Fender bass..."because it will break your back" So Liza had a bass made for her

So for your entertainment my friend Liza Carbe... and her husband J P Durand .. I can't make up my mind who I love more

Thanks!

I love the top rated comments to this youtube

Some of the funkiest bass lines in the '60's were layed down by her. Best example is Stevie Wonder - "I Was Made To Love Her". I started playing bass in soul bands in the late '60's and it took me a long time to get over the realization that I had been "OUTFUNKED" by a white girl.

That woman is amazing!! If I had her fingers, I would chop mine off.

You go girl!
