I fell this afternoon. I am up & moving slowly.

I was moving between the stove & counter to put the pans in the sink. I caught the quad cane tip on the chair & landed on both very arthritic knees, but I was upright. Win! After several very colorful comments I hauled myself up onto a kitchen chair.

I didn't break my glasses, or land on my face or the cats or spill much of the noodles (they were already drained). I expect there will be bruises tomorrow.

Arthritis sucks.

And only cream in the coffee. I will take your advice and put my knees up with an ice bag on both of them. Thank you.

Sometimes horribly painful at the end of the day. I drive a lot for work and my right knee complains loudly.

I've had some nasty falls too. I (so far) have needed help to get up. When I am alone, I am very careful about how I move.

Ya done really good, my dear irisblue!

Be careful of large bruises, they can cause serious medical problems. I hope you feel better, you were very fortunate, and you saved the noodles. Now that's a win!

I've had one bad fall outside, and landed between two logs, wedged in good and tight with no one around to help. I felt stupid, and looked like a turtle on its back, legs and arms gyrating as I tried to get out of my predicament. I wasn't hurt, but I just couldn't move to get up. Finally, my dog came over to see what sort of funny game I was playing. She's a big girl, and stood patiently while I held on to her collar and pulled myself out, then leaned on her to leverage myself up to stand. She's a good dog for saving me.

and scraping both knees leaving them raw & bloody. Mom, washed them up, bandaged them up & gave the magic get better kiss on top of the bandages.
While Mom is still around and would gently kiss the bandaged knees, I don't want to freak her out by telling her I fell down, gotta take care of Momma.
