'Do you have Insulin Resistance?
If you dont know, youre not alone. This is perhaps the single most important question any of us can ask about our physical and mental healthyet most patients, and even many doctors, dont know how to answer it.
Here in the U.S., insulin resistance has reached epidemic proportions: more than half of us are now insulin resistant. Insulin resistance is a hormonal condition that sets the stage throughout the body for inflammation and overgrowth, disrupts normal cholesterol and fat metabolism, and gradually destroys our ability to process carbohydrates.
Insulin resistance puts us at high risk for many undesirable diseases, including obesity, heart disease, cancer, and type 2 diabetes.
Scarier still, researchers now understand that insulin resistance is a powerful force in the development of Alzheimers Disease.
What is insulin resistance?'>>>

Makes me think capitalism is the root of the problem
business needs to be responsible and loyal to it's country
not the almighty dollar but we've let them do it to us
Does it not strike you odd that so MANY people are insulin resistant
not like in the past
In the past we did not eat so much "manufactured" food with additives, etc
logic would tell you business has been destroying our metabolism for profits
And now you cons want to kill the government trying to guard our foods (for profits)
We are importing more and more foods from other countries and I wonder just
how this food is grown, what is in the water they use to hydrate the plants,
are the soils contaminated...those that profit from the situation hope you
are not a person who analysis the situation.

(32,727 posts)Eat, Fast and live.
5 weeks on the 2-5 diet and I have lost 15lbs and feel much better. I've gone on it to lower my HGF1 hormone and to try to slow my failing memory. Fast 24 hrs on Monday and Thursday. First day was a little hard, now a piece of cake. Pass the 24 hrs and forget to eat for a few more hrs some days. Cost nothing and save two fiths on food bill. No restrictions on what you eat on the 5 other days.
