Obamacare enrollments drop marginally for 2019

(Reuters) - Enrollments in healthcare plans for 2019 through the Federal Obamacare marketplace dropped marginally by 300,000 from last year, according to U.S. government figures released on Monday.

The decrease in plan selections could likely be due to lower demand for exchange coverage, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) said.

About 11.4 million people signed up for 2019 healthcare plans, according to the CMS.

The agency also said it was issuing guidance to allow issuers to continue certain health plans, often referred to as “grandmothered” plans, by one year. Such plans do not meet all the rules under the Obamacare laws.

“Not extending the grandmothered plan policy would ... force people to decide between buying coverage they cannot afford on the individual market or going uninsured,” CMS Administrator Seema Verma said.

They cut funding for it, and have done everything they could to cause its premiums to dramatically increase, and kicked off some from their tax cut scam bill. He claimed he would give them a much better plan ( a lie) , and it would cost less (a lie) , that more would be covered ( a lie) , and everyone would be covered with his wonderful plan ( another huge lie) . Now he wants it completely eliminated to continue his attack on anything President Obama accomplished. His hatred for others drives him to do this now, and to please his master Putin , and especially against women and minorities. He's getting closer and closer to using putin tactics here with journalists, and his opposition , using acts of violence, like he's already suggested . He's already threatening all of them now. trump does not want anyone other than the wealthy to have access to affordable health care. Just like his trump justice system, where he and his friends are above the rule of law, but he can manipulate it as a weapon to use it against everyone else, making criminals of who he wants , not who are really criminals, and again like putin does in russia.

2. I am dropping Trumpcare too

The program does not resemble the original program at all.

1. Can't afford it and deductible is ridiculous.
2. They harass the hell out of you - seriously.
3. I always owe lots of money at the end of each year, in 2018 I paid an extra $50 a month and still owe $900.
4. Preventative tests are NOT included. Found that out the hard way. No more tests for me.
