Can elavil cause Ear congestion?

About a week ago one of my doctors put me on elavil to help me sleep. Since then I have noticed ear congestion in the mornings particularly. I don’t know that the elavil caused it but they do coincide.

Anyone else had this experience?

it. But I agree that checking online on a site like Web MD which lists possible side effects is a good idea and/or call your doctor's office and ask.

But naproxen can reduce your hearing. I thought I was going deaf suddenly, went to an ENT doc. I had hearing loss beyond what I already have. I also noticed my tinnitus was much quieter.

But on a hunch after I saw the doc stopped taking the naproxen my hearing came back.

Researched naproxen on the net and sure enough it dampens hearing.

So if naproxen can fuck with hearing , I don't doubt elavil can do it too.

“Continuing ringing, buzzing, or other unexplained noise in ears”

Thanks for your input.
