I got my 2nd Covid booster April 20

and my arm still hurts. I like to sleep on that side and the achiness wakes me. I don't remember the achiness lasting this long for previous shots. Should I wait it out? Or tell someone?

I didn't have any other side effects for any of the other Covid shots.

Go see a doc. It could even be unrelated. I’ve had a very sore arm/shoulder every time, and so have everyone I know, but that resolved in 3 days or less. Over 2 weeks? Time to check it out.

It feels like the same place as the shot was. The last few days, I've been thinking maybe they hit a nerve.

I'll have to wait till next week, the offices close early on Friday.

5-6 weeks after- no redness or swelling but, literally every few minutes I would feel a pricking sensation & had to scratch there. I ended up wearing short sleeves just because I knew it was coming!

Doc said it was ‘delayed hypersensitivity’ -
Nothing to worry about.

It ended abruptly.

I read a long time ago that itching is a mild response to pain, like mosquito bites.

I put muscle r ub above the achey spot. Since it is over 2 wks, maybe I'll put some directly on the spot!

she had the exact same thing.

For both of us the itching started - one week after getting the shot.

I hope your pain resolves soon!

After the first booster I was very tired for about 3 days. No itch, just a little swelling.
After the second booster, the swelling(plus bruising) was there plus an incredible itch that lasted about 2 weeks. Drove me crazy! I used cortisone cream after a few days. Can't get an MD appointment here for weeks and I didn't think it was worth the $$$ to see or call the Doc for him to tell me that this was common. I thought the itch was a strange reaction but I'm assured now that it is not uncommon. Wish I knew when I had the shot, I'd have been ready to cope.
