Top Ways That People are Improving Their Sleep Routines in 2023

If you wake up feeling more exhausted than when you fell asleep, you’re not alone.

A new survey of 2,000 U.S. adults about their sleep found the average person doesn’t get anywhere near the quality or amount of sleep they want.

The random double-opt-in survey also showed that Americans are striving to prioritize sleep routines and habits in the new year. 46% have already tried something new that they saw online with the hopes it would help.

Two in three reported they are focusing on winding down before bed: 49% are striving to commit to a regular sleep schedule, 43% are going to bed earlier, and 38% are vowing to practice a consistent nighttime routine.

Most nights I sleep well but I know many people that do not. A good nights sleep makes all the difference for me. Perhaps this can help those suffering from insomnia.

I listen to my body when it tells me I have to retire immediately, even if it's 8:00 in the evening. I can't explain it, but I'm waking up at 4 in the morning, but I'm refreshed and sit down with coffee to do home office work without a problem.

Most nights I am in bed by 10 pm and wake between four and five am. I feel rested though so I'm good to go

off for the last several nights, but it is going to take awhile to get accustomed to it. In the long run it will be better for me, because my quality of sleep should be better.

1) I make sure I eat accordingly to my needs. I follow a simple low carb, high protein, healthy fats regimine that I work in my Weight Watcher's Daily Points plan. I stay 10 to 12 pounds below my goal.

2) I limit coffee to 2 to 3 cups per day.

3) I go to the local gym 3 to 4 days a week. I average 3 miles on the treadmill as well as work out the body and muscle groups. I like to walk every day outside, weather permitting averaging 20 miles per week.

4)I drink up to 3 liters of water per day.

5) Take my Vitamins at night.

6) Sleep on a Sleep Number bed at least 7 hours each night. by 9:30, I am ready to hit the sack, rising at 6:45 am most mornings on my own before the alarm goes off at 6:50 am.

We just bought a new Sleep Number 360 Smart Bed in a king size in October through my son's Friends and Family promotion. They are expensive, yes, because one is sleeping on Science. The quality of my sleep is important. We also have their amazing pillows as well. Quality sleep and health are interrelated.

Since you like yours so much, maybe they fixed the flaw? The King sized bed was like 2 different beds and if you like to cuddle in the middle, it sagged badly! Both sides were great, but the middle part was awful so we returned the bed after 30 days, and got a Tempurpedic bed. We like it a lot.

Edit - fixed typo
