Check out the web. Lots of sites on seborrheic keratosis.

I scratch them off. You are just scratching off the top layer. Online most sites say not to as you can get an infection if you scratch too deep.

And I can't even remember the name for this condition, but my ex had it, and it is caused by a virus. His doctor said to not be concerned.

you should not be, either. Probably they are seborrheic keratoses. Also called other names, but are harmless keratoses. The key thing is that you had them looked at. As we age...
