Antibiotics could cure 40% of chronic back pain patients

Up to 40% of patients with chronic back pain could be cured with a course of antibiotics rather than surgery, in a medical breakthrough that one spinal surgeon says is worthy of a Nobel prize.

Surgeons in the UK and elsewhere are reviewing how they treat patients with chronic back pain after scientists discovered that many of the worst cases were due to bacterial infections.

The shock finding means that scores of patients with unrelenting lower back pain will no longer face major operations but can instead be cured with courses of antibiotics costing around £114.

One of the UK's most eminent spinal surgeons said the discovery was the greatest he had witnessed in his professional life, and that its impact on medicine was worthy of a Nobel prize.

in my chronic back problems when I go on antibiotics for my occasional UTIs. I have wondered about a bacterial connection for a long time.

all work as antibiotics and garlic is also natural muscle relaxer - lemon helps neutralize the smell so you don't smell like garlic

It's getting rid of my allergies and the daily sinus headaches due to waking up clogged....but no more.

Taking antibiotics trashes your immune system, garlic/ginger strengthen it.

or suggestions on the amount of each ingredient for this tea? I'd like to try it. Also, do you think it would work for a perpetually stuffy 6 year old? Maybe I should ask her doctor?

6 large cloves of garlic - smashed or use a garlic press
thin slices of fresh ginger, enough to match the garlic
1/2 Lemon

Boil 6 cups of water - throw in your ingredients, cover and let sit for a few hours.
The lemon will turn the garlic blue - no need to worry, just a chemical reaction.
Store in glass containers and refrigerate - strain each cup before drinking

I would start her out on 4 oz before bed. You can also add honey to make it tastier.
Then after she seems to tolerate it, increase by a couple ounces.
I've been doing it for about a month - and it's a fricking miracle - It also has helped my tight neck muscles due to post-polio. Garlic is a natural muscle relaxer.
I'm still a bit stuffed up, be not as much and no sinus morning headache. I've only been doing this one month, by next month...maybe I'll be completely free of AM congestion.

This will be part of my daily routine for many years to come.

I should get sick more often, I guess.

which is supposed to kill bacteria. I've been taking it because of dental work but I noticed my leg pain (from past broken bone) and my back feel great since I started.

Also, when my whole neighborhood was over sprayed with Malathion by the city of Albuquerque (yrs ago for mosquito control) everyone on the block had gastro problems, asthma and big time back pain.

though not celiac. However, when I have had antibiotics (Biaxin, to be specific) I had no reaction to gluten at all. It was a fluke discovery, as I normally avoid it, but it was a holiday meal and I thought I'd cheat. I tried it on 3 other occasions after that while taking the antibiotic, and none of the normal sensitivity issues showed up (eczema, Fibro pain, bloating).

After I stopped taking it, the issues returned. I'm not sure if it was killing certain gut bacteria, or is anti inflammatory.

What a breakthrough, saving unnecessary surgeries. I have to wonder if there are other conditions that antibiotics could be treating as well.

If it's really true it will help a whole lot of people who are really suffering.
