Your thoughts on Paramount+

I bought a subscription a couple of weeks ago and started watching Star Trek Discovery. I've since finished that series and Star Trek Picard. I've watched a few episodes of Frasier.

The 10 bucks was well spent for the Star Trek series, but I'm not really finding anything else worth watching and I plan to cancel my subscription.

I believe I've seen a positive post about Paramount+ at some point, and am wondering if I'm missing something?

1. It is kind of ironic that Paramount's "hot ticket" show is Yellowstone and they had already

sold streaming rights (to the current three seasons) to Peacock. So, even though I get a zillion emails to try Paramount plus, I'm not too tempted.

2. I got it for a while, but

after the current season of NCIS was over I quickly ran out of things I really wanted to watch, so I cancelled.

3. Smithsonian Channel + old Perry Mason

Lots of other stuff there that's of less interest to me.

6. You can find the unedited original Perry Mason on Prime.

These episodes were cut down from their original length to accommodate more commercials in re-runs.

The originals run a few minutes longer.

4. I'm going to do the 1 month free trial

I want to watch Dave Grohl's "From Cradle to Stage" about musicians and their moms.

7. I bought a years subscription to support the Trek shows in production.

there's something like 5 different shows/seasons in production - Discovery, Picard, two animated shows (Lower Decks and the Nickelodeon one) and the new Captain Pike series

8. I cancelled. My subscription ends on the 15th.

I'm interested in the Pike series as well, so I'll re-subscribe to watch it, but I'm afraid that they've missed the boat with their streaming service. While they have content, not much else interests me enough to pay 10 bucks a month for it. It's a shame really.
