I don't think there will be a 4th series. Read they planned on it being a trilogy.

I don't think there could be a 4th season. They pretty much killed off all the main characters in the last few episodes. And she ended up with her child to take care of. However, they could always skip a few years ahead and start off in a different direction. But the last series was a bit off the rails.

The character was so over the top. No reasonable person, but especially a trained dectective, would do some of the stupid and dangerous stuff she did.
