Does anyone else love Aerial America?

Aerial America is on the Smithsonian channel. I watch it through YouTube TV.

It’s basically a drone flying over all the states and showing the highlights of the state. The narrator has a really calming voice that is relaxing. And the information they have about the state is really informative. Each episode is about one state.

you get to experience the entire journey real time (not live) of a train ride thru some really magnificent Norwegian landscapes and some are kind scary! Its very relaxing and pretty addictive. Lovely music with it as well...

I stumbled on it while giving blood about 4 years ago and have been hooked ever since. We recently switched from DISH - which charged a premium rate to get Smithsonian) to YouTubeTV. I was so happy to see Smithsonian was in their lineup for no extra charge.

6. I sure wish they would number the stations so I could hop around much easier

Dish basically doubled the price on me over a year. When I called them, everything they offered me had a contract associated with it. The I saw what YouTubeTV offered for slightly more than 1/3 of what Dish's price was I very happily called Dish and let them have it.

We added Brit Box for my wife who just loves their mysteries and comedies for I think $7 a month.

The most interesting thing for me is that the picture we get w/Youtube is much clearer and sharper than it was with Dish. It was like going from mono records to stereo. I have been amazed.

If you wanna jump between channels then when you’re watching a channel if you push the down arrow twice it’ll show other channels you’ve been recently on And then you can just click on the one you want to jump too.

it would just be nice to have numbers I know especially to see what a certain station is showing tonight. Such as what is on Smithsonian tomorrow morning? Pinch in a number (say 220) that is Smithsonian and look to see what they are carrying - or Turner movies etc.

Hardly a deal breaker but it would make it so much more convenient.

Also wish they had FreeSpeechTV. I can get that on my computer - but, convenience.

We turn it on after dinner in the evening for background "noise",,,
I can nap to it
We turn it on when we leave the house for our doggie to have something mellow to listen to,,,,

I've seen every episode many times,,,
We have youtube tv but actually watch it on Paramount+

and btw it is filmed by a camera mounted on a Sikorsky Helicopter I saw that on Aerial America

It is really a relaxing show and I admit I took a nap now and then in the middle of some of them because I was tired. But the dog idea is great because our dogs wine sometimes when we’re leaving. Thanks for the post.

when you leave them alone but learned very quickly that channels like Animal Planet sometimes have loud and disruptive sounds and can agitate them,,,,

A search shows there are 8 seasons, but that only 1 season is available to stream--does that sound correct?
