The new season was on in the background while family was over. It didn't seem to live up to the original series, but I plan to take another run at it and see if it is better when I give it my undivided attention.

It looked like Portia de Rossi has "had some work done" and that was a bit distracting. I'm curious, too, about what other people think of it!

I like Portia but she did not look the same! My brother and I thought she was a different actress! I was cracking up at all the George Michael jokes in the first episodes.

It was really odd - I thought it was another actress the first time she was onscreen with the long hair. In the 7th episode, Lindsay "finds herself" and BTW, looks like herself again.

She's also great in "Better Off Ted" which if you haven't seen it is worth a look - streaming on NF.

I'm enjoying this season, though it wasn't until the 4th episode that it really started to kick in for me. You really have to pay attention to this show or it's a mish-mash. I ended up re-watching the first 3 episodes and they were much better the second time!

And I wasn't impressed. But then I wasn't enthralled by the original series either.

It's basically a fifteen episode clip show with not much of a story.

I live pretty close to the points where all the main story lines were filmed (Balboa Island, the prison, and so on). But the thing that is driving me nuts is all the clips. If you're a fan of the show, it should be all new material. If you're uninitiated, watch from the beginning. Don't make us watch the same clips 15 times.

I thought it was ok, considering the obstacles of not having all the actors available at once. It must have been a nightmare editing what with all the different story lines at the same locations.

Sometimes I forgot what each family member was involved with during the festival.

I look forward to new episodes. It's something I think I can watch over and catch things I missed in the original viewing.

There was one thing I was puzzled about. I don't want to give anything away all I will say is...

Why did GOB say "Maria" at the model home?
