Netflix and Marvel Team Up to Launch 4 New Superhero Series, Including Daredevil
Talk about super news.
Netflix is officially entering the superhero business after the online streaming site announced that it is teaming up with Marvel for four live-action series that will debut in 2015. Wait, it gets even better! All of the series will lead up to one big miniseries event titled "The Defenders." Go on, have a nerdgasm. We'll wait!
The four heroes who landed their own series are Daredevil, who was famously played by new Batman Ben Affleck in a film adaptation, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage, with their respective shows launching in that order. The first series, centering on Daredevil, will launch in 2015 with 13 episodes.

(21,896 posts)Drew Goddard, director and co-writer of the acclaimed horror comedy "The Cabin in the Woods," has begun negotiations to write the 13-episode Netflix series based on Marvel's blind superhero "Daredevil".
Goddard is the first name attached to the four Netflix shows in the works based on Marvel properties. "Daredevil" will be the first of the four to go into production and likely onto the VOD service.
Neither Marvel or Goddard's representatives had any comment. Goddard, who also wrote "Cloverfield," certainly has plenty of experience working on TV with writing gigs on the likes of "Lost," "Alias," "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" and "Angel".

I really liked Cabin in the Woods as well as Cloverfield, I thought both were excellent. I liked all the shows he has written on but I'm not sure what episodes/story arcs he has done... Some were better then others so who knows there. Still... A nice start
