Netflix replacing star ratings to just thumbs up or down.
This stinks. I like having control over how much I like or dislike. Thumbs up or thumbs down is do dumbed down.

(17,276 posts)I mostly give three stars, which means, "okay, enjoyable to watch". But what if I want to say, "Wow this is the greatest movie! I'd watch it again!!" I would have no way to say that.

(24,369 posts)I've rated so many movies, Netflix has my taste down. I just called and complained. Maybe if they get enough complaints that keep the star rating system. The number is 866-579-7172. This is another example of the dumbing down of America.

(36,193 posts)Get the real info from IMDB, then search for it in Netflix.
Or vice versa, find the movie in Netflix and check it out in IMDB.
The browsing function in Netflix as darn-near broken, it's almost impossible to find something.
You have to already know what you're looking for, or you'll never stumble onto it by luck.
