Looking for opinions (not spoilers, please!) - Leftovers season 3, and the new Twin Peaks

As one who was completely blown away by the Leftovers, and a life long Twin Peaks addict....but also as one who isn't watching either "live" - just wondering from those who are watching if Leftovers Season 3 is maintaining what it began...and whether Twin Peaks still (so far - just one double episode) still has the magic!

Once each is done, thinking of doing a 7 day free trial for the services that carry each.

1. Twin Peaks kind of lost me last night- although it was funny seeing James and Bobby again...

I missed some of Leftovers last season but this one is - despite my confusion - really really good.

2. I'm watching the Leftovers because I want to see how it ends... It is thought-provoking right now..

What makes it a bit difficult for me, is that the extremity of reactions to the "event" over the past seasons, no longer feels so strange in the world we now are experiencing dealing with Trump. That isn't meant to be a glib comment. In reality it hits home a little too much.

Still, I will watch through to the last episode. I think next Sunday may be the series finale as this week was episode 7 and I think they only shot 8 episodes this season. <-- on edit, the last episode was #6, so there are 2 more left.

pretty much unwatchable to me. I much preferred season 1....normal people reacting to an abnormal, unexplainable event. Season 2 it started declining. This season it has devolved into a pitch black, nonsensical acid trip with zero appeal. Won't even watch the finale..care that little.

we are two episodes away from our second whirl through Breaking Bad...what an amazing thing that little series is!

8. Now that, I 100% agree with. Breaking Bad is almost an art form - when else in film

has anyone matched a pair like this? Typical - neat vs. sloppy, anal vs. live and let live type.

Never a pair like this - a young criminal with a moral compass that points the right direction and a straight arrow establishment educator gone bad with good original motives whose compass goes awry?

There were some weird things that happened in season 2 and the movie. But what I am enjoying is that however far afield season 3 seems to be, there is a distinct sense that it is coming full circle and making every quirk, oddity and twist explainable. It is on the cusp of brilliance.
