definitely not better though. I like it but the original will never be beat. Too honest and innocent as a concept to be bested. The new one is a little "hipster" to me, like it's trying too hard to be "cool". Still hoping for another season either way. Joel deserves it.

I think they walked the careful line of retaining the best elements from the original series while giving the show a fresh, contemporary update.

To me, the comments during the movie are even more hilarious than the original series. I also really like the new people (Jonah, Kanga, TV's Son of TV's Frank) and love the cameos by Pearl and Joel, among others.

Am glad that Joel is still on board and co-writing for this updated version.

So, yes, I love it!

Reptilius is also good. Avalanche is bizarre. Mia Farrow and Rock Hudson! Great cast, glad to see MST3K continue.

It actually got me into the series, and then down the rabbit hole to the older ones (Some of which are also on Netflix).

We still sometimes watch MST3K episodes on DVD or VCR tapes. Probably the funniest show ever. Maybe someday we'll get to see the new shows. Hard to imagine without Mike, Kevin, Trace, Frank, Mary Jo, Bill, etc.
