I think I found a work around for avoiding an amends (joke)

As I gather my fourth and fifths together, amends have been on my mind lately.

Today, when I found out that Dick Cheney got a new heart (virgin sacrifice?) I found myself thinking, "Too bad, I wanted him to die the long, protracted, painful death of congestive heart failure". Of course, then I though, "Crap, do I have to do an amends to that rat bastard?"

"Nah, amends are for humans. He isn't human."

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.

Tell me more...
