So my wife's going away for the weekend.

When she did this in the past, there was a voice, way in the back of my head telling me I should cut loose and drink while she's gone. This is probably the first time I'm not hearing that voice. Here's hoping it doesn't return and I get through the weekend unscathed!

She's going to go away a couple more times next month as well. I think I've got this!

After a morning meeting. And I'll do some painting, no doubt. And I have a bunch of movies lined up.

Does not have to be rigid.
But a tentative schedule of activities.

Your plans sound good.
You might want to add some back up in case it is not enough.
Like a call to a friend or family member.
