Skipping the annual family camping trip

For years, my wife's family has gotten together for a family camping weekend. It was a great excuse to get shitfaced every night. But I've been skipping it since I quit drinking a few years ago. Like I tell everyone, I hate camping, and the only thing that made it tolerable was the booze. And now that I'm sober, I especially hate it. So I'll be solo back at home from next Thursday through Monday!

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
