Question about Moderation Management Groups

Last summer I was shocked to learn my husband of 33 years had become an alcoholic. He retired early 2 years earlier from a very stressful high level job. When he finally told me about the drinking he was having DT's. He did an in-patient detox program, followed by an extensive out patient program at Emory (4 weeks?) & his doctor put him on Trazodone.

Since then, he has had 2 "slips" that I know of, including one this week he tried to lie about. He bought 4 cheap single serving wine bottles & had drank one before I called him out on it (I bought a breathalyzer off Amazon).

I was never much of a drinker so it was easy for me to stop drinking. We smoke pot or do edibles in the evenings when watching a movie or listening to music.

He does not want to do a traditional AA program but has tried various online meetings, including Recovery Dharma & a Moderation Management group.

Thoughts or words of support?

Thanks
Rambling

I've been doing it for over 7 years. They do in person and zoom meetings. And no matter what time of day, or day of the week, there's always a meeting you can take part in. And if you want, you can just listen in on a zoom meeting and see how you (he) likes it. I can't say enough about it. If you need any more info, feel free to DM me.
