Im coming on my fourth year.

My husband is year four from a liposcarcoma behind his knee which took less treatment but way more surgery than mine. We both have lasting effects from our treatment but are still doing well.

(60,271 posts)3. Mine was neck and base of my tongue, caused by HPV.
At first they said I might lose my tongue, but the tumor was external and not internal.
I am left with Lymphedema, a badly inconvenience thyroid, damaged vocal cords, and BPPV. Lost my beard, and that was a shock seeing my face for the first time since 1969. Egads, I look like my father.
Lost 40 lbs and havent gained it back. I eat through a feeding tube and by mouth. Saved a lot of money by living on 2Cal.
