Pout thread - after a mad rush to operate as quickly as possible

Scheduling 3 surgeries between Nov 30 and Dec 22, tomorrow's surgery is canceled because the pathology on surgery #2 is back yet - so - so we don't know if they got all the cancer (soft-tissue sarcoma) out - and can't do the final skin graft until we know.

I've been stalking the electronic medical records since the 2nd surgery last Tuesday - and the PA finally called just after 5 PM today to let me know they had to delay it.

Good news - that means I can cook for Christmas. My parents sent us a ham and were going to drop off restaurant food for reheating on Thanskgiving eve, since I lose all use of my right hand for a minimum of 5 days after what was supposed to be tomorrow's surgery.

Bad news - that means I have to cook for Christmas (since no one else in my family does). And there's no time between a Tuesday surgery and the next day I have to teach that is 5+ days later. So I'll have to find a way to teach remotely without using my right hand.

2020 sucks. I'm so done with it. No tree. No cookies. No 40th open house. No family gathering. And cancer.

Night before last, I realized that in 2016 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. 2020 with a sarcoma. All Trump's fault. Trump better not run in 2024. That's all I have to say.

Well . . . one more thing. I'm suspecting that they found something unexpected in the pathology. This sarcoma grew from the site of a supposedly benign tumor. I've had two pathologists (both sarcoma experts, one who is one of the top 3 in the country) tell me that they have never seen the supposedly benign tumor I had in 2014 turn into the particular flavor of sarcoma that I have. (The 2014 tumor had characteristics that created a risk it was not benign . . . but regrowth as a sarcoma is rare; regrowth as this particular kind of sarcoma is unheard of.) If the two were connected (as might be apparent from remants of the 2014 tumor), I suspect they would want to double and triple check it.

Either that . . . or everyone just started their holiday break early.

Standing on a prayer-full belief that your circumstances turn into 'much better than anticipated'.

The disgusting last 4 years
exacerbates any personal problems in our lives. Well, actually even worse daily now it seems with each and every stupid thing trying to be 'pulled'.

A Peace-filled Christmas be to you...💝
