How is everyone doing?

I am hoping no news is good news. I have just been putzing along and putting up with family saying, "Ha Ha, it's warmer where we live now than where you are.". Don't mind it too much but they say it with so much glee. LOL

and celebrating my husband's 60th birthday, two years ago he was not sure he would see this birthday. He has an appointment to start childhood vaccinations this coming week, even though his numbers are still borderline for vaccinations. One foot in front of the other, step by step and enjoy each moment.

and wishing you the best for your upcoming surgery, it seems far away, but will be here before you know it.

Cancer can sure put things into perspective, big hugs to you and those fighting the battle and also those recovering from a loss.

A momentous birthday if I do say so myself. (my dad use to say that "if I do say so myself&quot not sure what it means or how it fits here!

But I figure if I'm going to turn 60, I might as well make it monumental, you know, like turning 13, 16, or 21. Shoot, I remember my 13th birthday, a newly minted teenager & a Beatlemaniac who was grounded because I spent all my babysitting money on a Beatles' album & a Sixteen magazine & my mom was mad! It was a cold & rainy Saturday, to boot. I remember that day because I was so excited to finally become a teenager; and I decided that I wanted to be 15 and in 10th grade because our newspaper had a picture of 10 graders in it & they looked so cool to me that I knew I just had to be 15, too. Silly kid.

I'm in the middle of having some serious dental work done so I can begin Bisphosphonate Infusion Therapy to try & save my bones. Metastasized breast cancer found it way to my bones, amongst a few other places. I've been having a rough time with some pretty awful bone pain. I've lost a quarter inch of height since last November, & that's not good. And, today, I'm also fighting a miserable cold & cough.

Well, I've gone down memory lane, anyone else have any good memories?

Birthdays are not only a celebration as well as a kick in the patootie to cancer. Here's to many more years of celebrations and to kicking cancer.

As someone who is just a wee bit younger I think you made a wise choice in your purchases. I remember my walls were covered in Beatle pictures and when my mom would come in my room she would just shake her head. Do you remember thinking that (insert name) was only 10+ years older than you were? I was hoping that if Paul ever saw me he would throw Jane Asher out the door. LOL

Are you having to have more treatments because of the dental work? Hang in there.

Yes another big one, those decades do roll by so quickly! When is your actual birthday, my husband's was on Monday. We just had a quiet dinner as we had celebrated on Saturday. No big birthday memories, but I did bend the rules a little at Catholic boarding school and saw way too many 6 a.m. masses as punishment.

Wishing that the dental work goes smoothly, you can begin therapy soon and maybe find some relief from the pain.

Let us know if you decide to do something monumental.

I had a CT scan last Wednesday and will get my results on Wednesday this week.

We visited the grandkids yesterday. My very chatty granddaughter entertained me for hours. My grandson isn't talking yet. I just enjoyed watching him toddle along. They keep me happy.

I'll check in later and let you know how my test came out. Hugs to all. cmd

And I am feeling just dandy.

I used to wait for the "other shoe to drop", but now I don't even think about it.

Of course, as we all know, things can change in a fraction of a second.

I agree with you on waiting for the other shoe to drop. We all know that it can but refuse to live in fear.
