On Monday, I am going to Madison for a repeat

of the bronchoscopy. The thoracic surgeon wants this repeated because he is not sure about some of the lymph nodes. Radiation may be a better option than surgery. I am supposedly at stage 1B, but we will see.

As usual, I am terrified.

30. I'm 2/3s of the way through stage 2 tonsil cancer. Don't sweat it.

At 1B you have caught it early. The radiation is the worst because it is essentially a slow speed barbecuing. You'll have some pain, but if you are lucky like me, it won't be too bad. I was very fearful of the chemo, but the new anti nausea drugs and steroids that you get with the chemo drugs will keep all of the bad symptoms at bay. I was totally freaked out for about 10 days after diagnosis. You have nothing to worry about at this stage. Take some serious deep breaths and mellow out.
