Bone mets all over

Darn it! I sure hope the oncologist has some encouraging news tomorrow. Carol, my wife, is getting worse by the day, and the bad news just seems non-stop.

I guess I should be thankful for the last eight years. Back then, if you had told me we had eight more years, I would probably have heralded that news. It's hard to accept an "end of life" situation, but when it's your soul mate, it's devastating.

I am hoping they can ease her pains and extend her life for years to come, but we know what can happen, so we now have to prepare for it.

Carol is on my list for my candles. I am keeping it lit all day. I still maintain if we spent as much on cancer research as we do on defense or bailing out banks there would be no need for this group.

I am also keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

I've known folks, who survived years on Ensure and morphine, with bone mets.

It sounds like she has been blessed to have you as a caregiver, and you have both been blessed with an enduring love.

I know how devastating this must be for you and Carol too. I pray that you do get some better news from the oncologist and also see what treatment is available for her!

I know that you and Carol are each other's soul mate and I am SO thankful she has you in her life !

My thoughts and prayers are with you both as always.

I hope Carol has better news tomorrow. Every visit to the oncologist is filled with fear. I pray there is something new out there that will ease her pain and give her many great days.
