Uvula problem
Just went to the dentist for a clean.
He says my uvula is size 4 - huge. Causes swallowing constantly as well as snoring. Can be reduced by an operation. A bit risky right now of course. Uvulectomy Might be causing my sleep problem too. I want to get the op asap. Swallowing constantly, especially at night, is a drag.

2. I had that procedure done about 15 years ago
because I was told it would help sleeping problems. It didn’t help at all.

3. Was it always that large or is it swollen?
Some information here - diet can affect it if its swollen.

4. I take losartin for blood pressure though my BP was never really bad when I started
Its supposed to be helpful in preventing problems from diabetes (mine is under control)

5. Looks like Losartin may be the cause of several problems I have
Sleeplessness, uvula, cramps (really frequent at night and painful), perhaps weight gain etc

8. My dentist often comments on my huge tongue. It gets on the way too many times.

6. You might be suffering from sleep apnea as a result. I'd recommend getting the operation as soon as
it is safe.

12. I had it done
My partner complained about my snoring/scary sleep apnea which I knew nothing about. She said it reduced it. Until I can both sleep and observe myself I have no idea.
